May 21, 2026 marks the end of the transitional period for Qualified Trust Service Providers: with eIDAS 2.0, the European Digital Identity framework moves into its operational phase. By the end of 2026, EU Digital Identity Wallets will be available, becoming mandatory for organizations in regulated industries from 2027.
